Aantekening
Known as the Douai Bible and Rheims Testament. The New Testament has a special title page. The text is Challoner’s with most of his notes copied verbatim. The preliminary matter includes Haydock’s dedication, an advertisement containing the names of commentators other than Challoner quoted in this work, a preface, and a list of the principal commentators on the Bible from the year 397 to 1530. With the references and commentaries arranged in the form of foot-notes.
