The series includes records relating to general missions, retreats and tridua given by the Capuchin friars to parishes, lay confraternities, sodalities and associations, working men’s clubs, and (particularly) religious congregations and societies. The digital image above is an illustration titled ‘An Seanmóinidhe’ by Somhairle MacCann (1901-1975) who had two younger brothers who were Capuchin friars, Fr. Gerald McCann OFM Cap. (1910-1958) and Fr. Cuthbert McCann OFM Cap. (1906-1991). This illustration of a Capuchin preacher appeared in ‘The Capuchin Annual’ (1936).
