He identifies himself as the Missioner who heard Collins' confession in Greystones the night before he left for the Treaty negotiations in London. Ignatius says he was in Italy when news of Collins death reached him. Says he also gave Collins a prayerbook with a crucifix inside. (Declan O'Sullivan, C.P., in a note on the original chronological card says "My guess is that it (this copy) is one made by Fr. Ignatius himself: it is his style - gaps all over the place".
