1846034 Blessed Charles Houben, C.P., Writings: volume containing transcriptions into French of 81 letters written by Fr. Charles. The volume is entittled "Lettres du Serviteur de Diu P. Charles de S. Andre Passioniste". It is evidently the French version of the volume of Dutch transcriptions located ar 4/5/1/13 (q.v.)

1846034 Blessed Charles Houben, C.P., Writings: envelope bearing the following inscription: "Scripta Servi Dei N.7 " and an episcoipal seal (Dublin?) which is now broken. The following details are typed on the envelope: "Contents: letter (authenticated copy) written by the Servant of God to a certain Mrs. Mooney ". Letter acknowledges with thanks blocks and money.

1846034 Blessed Charles Houben, C.P., Writings: McEvoy Family: transcripts of two letters written by Blessed Charles to Mrs, McEvoy, and one by him to her daughter, Pauline. Mrs. McEvoy lived at Tobertynan House, Longwood, Co, Meath and the family was visited by Fr. Charles on several occasions. In gratitude for the gift of a baby daughter - some maintain as a result of intercession by Fr. Charles - they erected a shrine to Our Lady of Lourdes in the woods at their house in 1868. Fr. Charles may have blessed this shrine. For interesting developments re this shrine see correspondence located at 4/4/3/20-25. The daughter, Pauline, named after St. Paul of the Cross, may also have been cured in later life by Blessed Charles. She married the Duke de Stacpoole in 1883. These typescripts were made by Fr. Oliver Kelly, C.P., from the originals, loaned by Major George Stacpoole in 1961,

Requests that he may now present the "instanta" to the Secretary.

Blessed Charles - Cause:- Informative Process - letter from Rev. T.O'Donnell, Archbishop's Secretary, requesting Oswald Donnelly, C.P., to call on the Archbishop on 28/05/1923 to present his delegation as Vice-Postulator in the cause of Fr. Charles.

1846034; Houben, Charles: Blessed: Cures obtained through his intercession: copy of a statement made by John Redmond (no address) concerning the cure, through the intercession of Fr, Charles, of his son, Aidan, who was suffering from tuberculosis of the leg. He had contracted Diphteria in 1945 but survived it. Later he developed severe pains in his legs and could not walk. Tuberculosis was diagnosed. One day Aidan asked to be brought ot Fr. Charles's grave, though this surprised his parents as they were not aware of his knowing anything about Fr. Charles. Aidan later claimed the Fr. Charles had visited him and told him to visit the grave. He regained the use of his legs sometime later and suffered no ill effects. He also claimed that Fr. Charles had visited him again in his room.

1846034; Houben, Charles: Blessed: Cures obtained through his intercession: packet of documents concerning Mrs. Frances Murphy, 5, Elm Park Avenue, Ranelagh, Dublin, who was cured of blindness after intercession to Fr, Charles. The case was first raised by a Dr.J.F.Power, Sliabh Na mBan, Caremont Road, Ballsbridge, who met her at the grave of Fr. Charles. When he met her again a week later she had been cured. Fr. Gerald O'Boyle investigated the case and discovered that her cure had lasted for three yrears and then paretially returned,
